straightfromthecask.co.uk offers you the opportunity to purchase single cask bottlings on an exclusive basis.
All whisky will be bottled at cask strength, non chill-filtered,with no added colouring.
These offerings are very unique and real collectors items.
Each batch of approximately 70 bottles will be unique and never repeated so why not buy two (one to drink and one for the collection)!

Tasting notes by www.whiskyfun.com are detailed below. Thanks Serge! What an amazing whisky and a unique bottling.
Nose: typical sherried Mortlach, and big time! Starts with struck matches – which is absolutely not a bad thing in this context, I insist, no rotten truffles or brand new rubber boots and such -, gunpowder (same comments), flints and roasted chestnuts, with then in the background, prunes, chocolate, leather and that very typical meaty or even gamey profile.
With water: becomes more herbal, on parsley and chives, plus rocks and clay, then quite a lot of beef stock. Old wine cellar. Mouth (neat): a rich and extremely spicy attack, on peppered ham and then even more chestnuts than in the nose. Glazed chestnuts? Loads of that, and then a little caraway, liquorice and… yeah, chestnut honey.
With more water: more fruits now, Seville oranges, dried bananas…
Finish: long, with the pepper, ginger and caraway back in the aftertaste. Comments: an extremely typical big-bodied sherried Mortlach. The burnt matches profile won’t please everybody but I loved the chestnuts! Reminds me of the old Flora & Fauna cask strength, same kind of profile.
Look out for Batch 2 due to be bottled late April/early May.......a stunning 16 year old Glen Grant.
The price you see is the price you pay with only delivery charges added. Delivery of one bottle is the same as two/three etc up to 12 bottles so it is advantageous to buy in bulk. Any order over two cases (13 bottles +) will be by arrangement and I will contact you to discuss and agree cost on receipt of your order.
All orders will be dispatched within 14 working days of order being received and/or payment being received and cleared. Please ensure that when signing for parcel that there is no obvious damage to package. If there is please do NOT accept and contact info@straightfromthecask.co.uk with details. If you accept an obviously damaged package and open contents your insurance cover will not be validated.
